Following WrestleMania XII, "Marvelous" Marc Mero entered Sable's life like the proverbial "knight in shining armor," coming to her rescue to introduce her to a charming life as his love interest. However, once Sable began to reach enormous popularity and success on her own, Mero grew increasingly jealous. Mero continued to treat her with disrespect, so the voluptuous vixen became aggressive, throwing Mero to the canvas on more than one occasion. After losing a bet to her former lover at Over the Edge, the femme fatale was forced to leave the Federation. But she was brought back after only a few weeks by World Wrestling Federation owner Vince McMahon! Sable decided she no longer wanted to be a timid valet, and she declared that her number one priority is winning the World Wrestling Federation Women's Championship. At the 1998 Survivor Series, she realized her goal by pinning Jacqueline! Her career is growing by leaps and bounds. In April, she will appear on the cover of Playboy Magazine. Recently, though, it seems as if success has gone to her head. She has said in several interviews "that all the everybody wants to be like Sable."
